The BSE in Economics at Portucalense University is designed to offer the students a great learning experience, in order for them to acquire the needed skills to be able to perform the duties that are required nowadays in a highly competitive labour market. The great learning experience is assured by the quality of our staff: Very demanding and ambitious, while at the same time being always available to guide the students through the road of knowledge in this field. The proof of our expertise is in the successful experience of some of our previous students in Economics, which have developed stable and important careers in different companies throughout the Portuguese economic landscape.

We take advantage of the broadness of the economics field and its importance in the labour market. To hold our degree means opening the doors to different career paths in companies: Our students can become accountants, financial controllers, project managers, and perform consultancy work in different areas, alongside other career paths that can be opened. Students are also provided with the much needed knowledge tools and with a creative environment to start their own business. Our BSE in Economics, given the different courses in the program, also intend to give our students more generic skills, such as logics and problem-solving, which end up being useful in a variety of situations in life. Summing up, we prepare our students for the labour market and we offer them a better way to embrace society and life in general.

Naturally, a key “component” of the University is in its people. Our students are able to meet other students, possibly making friendships and work partnerships that could make an important difference in their own BSE experience. The University provides a perfect environment for the students to share their greatness.
